Comprehensive Acne Skin Care

Acne vulgaris is the bane of the life of teenagers and young adults. It affects some 85% of Australians between 15 - 25. In most patients it subsides with minimal treatment. But in a significant proportion of people it remains active and can progress to significant scarring, not only of the face, but of the chest, shoulders and back.

Acne Scar Management

For established acne and other forms of scarring of the skin, the Palomar Fractional Lux 1540 achieves outstanding results. Fractional microbeams of laser energy deliver the pulse in a pin-cushion fashion leaving tiny islands of normal skin between each focus of powerful energy. The Lux 1540 handpiece achieves its results in a series of treatments, ideally at 4-6 week intervals.

The Lux 1540 delivery system penetrates deeper than other available Fractionated laser systems resulting in more widespread and therefore more effective coagulation of the epidermis and underlying dermis with subsequence tightening that smoothes the overlying skin and improves the texture and quality of the surface.
